Sir Syed School

A group of enthusiastic men, as a solution to the problem of giving their children quality education, decided to start an English medium school. Their efforts bore fruit in 1993, culminating in forming Sir Syed Educational Trust (Reg. No.IV/812) and starting a pre-primary English medium school in the village of Puthumanassery. This was subsequently affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. Later, in the year 2000 this was upgraded to Senior Secondary level. Now the school runs classes from Std I to XII. The K.G classes function in the name Sir Syed Pre- primary English School. The school provides amenities that modern education demands, particular attention is given to groom the children into morally strong, mentally tough, godfearing and kind human beings by inculcating academic and moral education and guidance. The management gives stress in developing personality of the students, by giving them constant boost through counseling, lectures and classes by experts in different fields with a view to bring them up to face the challenge of the modern era and to make them useful to the society, country and in larger sense to the whole World.
The school is located at Puthumanassery on the west side of the road leading to Pavaratty from Chavakkad . The distance from Guruvayoor and Chavakkad is same (4 k.m) and from Pavaratty it is only 1 k.m. The campus presents serene, clean, green look, drawing away from the distractions and polluted atmosphere of towns, but easily accessible from the nearby towns of Pavaratty, Chavakkad, Guruvayoor and district capital Trichur. The nearest Railway station is Guruvayoor. The area being quiet, breezy and clean provides ideal atmosphere for healthy schooling.
